Taking this time to target the wedding industry and learn the ins and outs of wedding photography has been priceless. I want to share with you one of the most critical lessons that I've learned so far. Thankfully I'm a quick study, and I love to immediately incorporate these lessons into my business process to make my job more seamless, and keep my clients satisfied.

Are you ready for it?  The Wedding Photo Timeline. If you're not getting a timeline from your photographer, then you're opening the door for missed photos and opportunities. As the photographer, it's really my job to keep a timeline together letting people know where they need to be and what time they need to be there. Of course I've also learned that wedding time falls in a completely different time zone, so I need to allow for some grace. BUT, I also believe that in order to get my job done I need to be assertive enough to grab a group together and start snapping away.

To help you, help me, I've created a worksheet (that is included in my welcome packet) for you to fill out. It's just my way of collecting as much information as possible to make sure that I am in the right place at the right time. It's also a way of making sure that, if I am in the right place at the right time, I also have the names and numbers of the others who need to be at that place with me.

Now, the caveat to this timeline is if you have a wedding coordinator. In which case put me in touch with that gal/guy and I'll work closely with her/him. However, most of the times I've learned that I've got to pull it together or I will have an unhappy bride. So here's the worksheet. Fill it out, get it in. In a few weeks I'll get it back to you with a rough timeline of how the photos are going down on the big day. Then you can rest assured that the details are left in competent hands!

One of the great things about being a wedding photographer is that I get to meet so many wonderful and talented wedding vendors. There are some really great wedding businesses here in the Central Valley, and I'm glad I get the chance to share some of those resources with you.

If you've been searching for a wedding photographer, chances are you've had to fish and search a website or blog to find some information alluding to the photographer's pricing structure. Why the secrecy??

I personally want all of my information to be out in the open. I want you to find my pricing with ease. I want you to completely understand all of my services, products, my style, how I work, my experience, my training and so much more! To help you in your wedding photographer research, and because I believe you should be well informed before making any decisions, I have put together a thorough wedding packet for you. Just shoot me an email and I'll send you the packet. Then I'll follow-up with you in a couple of days to see if my services look like a good fit for your wedding needs. Because I am currently in portfolio building mode, I have deeply discounted pricing throughout 2012. I've started sharing a bit about what is included in my wedding packages, and all I have to say is that there is so much more!! One of the most important factors in selecting your wedding photographer is how you interact with each other. If you're not comfortable around me or we don't get along, let's face it -- I'm probably not the photographer for you. That being said, I really want to get to know you. I am completely invested in you, and I want more than anything for you to be relaxed and comfortable with me. Why do I care so much? Because when you're relaxed, that's when I can start capturing you and your natural mannerisms, facial expressions and personality. That's when I can start capturing the REAL you. Those natural moments and expressions make the best photos!

As I worked diligently on my wedding pricing for 2012, it was essential for me to create those opportunities for us to get to know each other and spend time together. The result was engagement sessions worked right into my wedding packages. Every one of my packages includes an engagement session. I'm currently offering two types of engagement sessions: an on-location session and a studio session. Which one you choose will depend upon the package you choose. Either way, I'm going to spend some time getting to know you. We're going to hang out, build a friendship, build some trust and maybe even get a bit silly. But it's all for a good cause! You're going to end up with great photos. And who knows, you might even end up with a lifelong friend!

Wedding Photographer | 2012 Weddings

I am currently in the process of portfolio building for wedding photography. I have been a portrait photographer for the past few years and am now looking to transition into wedding photography. During the next year I will be offering my photography services at a budget-friendly price. This is simply an opportunity to extend you a discount as I learn more about the practical side of weddings, wedding photography and key experience working in this market. I am happy to provide my services throughout San Joaquin County (Stockton, Lodi, Tracy), Stanislaus County (Modesto, Turlock) and Merced County (Merced). Travel beyond these areas will incur addtional travel costs.

Day of Event
You will have my services for 10-hours on the day of the event. Here is a list of what I will capture (if time frames do not conflict):

• Bride and bridesmaids getting ready
• Groom and groomsmen getting ready
• Bridal party and family prior to ceremony
• Wedding ceremony
• Bride and groom after ceremony
• Reception (cake, cake cutting, dances, guests, etc.)

Rates

• $550.00   10-hour coverage (plus travel expenses within the above listed counties)
• $750.00   Post production (includes a minimum of 200 photos and 4x6 proofs stored in a custom proof box*)

* Proofs and customized photo box are yours to keep.

Terms of Service

• A $500.00 non-refundable deposit must be paid at time of contract signing to secure the date.
• Balance must be paid in full 4 weeks prior to the event (although you may continue to make payments up until the 4 weeks prior to the event when the balance must be paid in full).
• Wedding contract must be signed and deposit must be paid at the same time in order to secure your date.

I encourage you to call me and schedule a meeting. I would love the opportunity to earn your business! My prices are simply discounted so that I can take this year to gain key experience as a wedding photographer. I like to meet all of my potential clients in person to talk more about your vision for your photos and to also review any questions or concerns you may have. At that time I will review the contract with you also. At the end of our meeting, I will leave my contract with you to review and discuss amongst you and your family/fiance. If you decide to contract my services, then you simply give me a call to let me know, sign the contract and mail the original contract back to me with your $500.00 deposit. I will then sign the contract as well and return a copy to you for your files. I will continue to maintain communication with you until your wedding day. I also am open to phone calls, emails or texts. I want you to have complete access to me should any questions arise. Or if any new ideas come up that you would like to share. Two weeks after your wedding date I will schedule another meeting with you for your ordering session. At this meeting you will view your digital portfolio and place your ordering selections with me. You will also leave with your 4x6 proofs and a custom proof box to store your proofs.
